‘Revenge’ Review: Commitment

If you didn’t believe it before then you better believe it now; the gloves are definitely off as physical and emotional blows are made. There’s always manipulation happening but this week we see consequences that make Emily (Emily VanCamp) change her plans very quickly.

The Grayson’s divorce is already messy but with a little help from Emily, Conrad (Henry Czerny) becomes a winner and a loser from this latest round. Conrad receives a copy of David’s (James Tupper) video interview, claiming to be Charlotte’s (Christa B. Allen) father.

‘Revenge’ Review: Infamy

Normal service has resumed as everyone deals with the aftermath of Tyler (Ashton Holmes). “Infamy” continues the trend of enjoyable episodes but it’s the last few minutes that really had me hooked. In fact, I said “Oh my God” several times, before wondering how everything was going to play out in future episodes.

‘Revenge’ Review: Suspicion

Fake smiles, fake reveals, fake breakups and a triangle turns into a square. There’s so much that happens in “Suspicion” and so many games being played that, at times, it’s hard to keep up.

It got a bit too complicated when trying to address the real Emily Thorne (Margarita Levieva), that I’ve taken a leaf out of Fringe’s book. From now on I shall address the real Emily as Fauxmanda, just as Nolan (Gabriel Mann) does in his call to Emily (Emily VanCamp).

‘Revenge’ Review: Treachery

Revenge is back after a week off and now things have started to get complicated. Just when I got use to calling Emily VanCamp’s character, Emily, the real Emily (Margarita Levieva) shows up. I’m not sure if I should be calling Emily, Amanda or Amanda, Emily but I digress.

Taking about complications, there’s the little matter of real Emily killing Frank (Max Martini) and turning up at fake Emily’s house (how am I going with this?). The problem with real Emily turning up is that it makes Emily’s plan messy. Emily takes the real Emily to stay with Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and he finds out about Frank. Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) calls the police and they end up at Emily’s asking questions.

‘Revenge’ Review: Guilt

Wow, is pretty much what I said at the end of “Guilt.” The writers have definitely notched things up another level. The previous episodes have pretty much followed the same pattern; Emily (Emily VanCamp) getting revenge.

This time Lydia (Amber Valletta) is running the show (or at least she think she is); she just isn’t successful as Emily. Lydia’s presence ends up forcing others to counter-act her actions and it doesn’t end well for her.

‘Revenge’ Review: Duplicity

Revealing therapy sessions and dodgy best friends are on the menu for this week’s installment of Revenge. Emily (Emily VanCamp) targets Dr. Michelle Banks (Amy Landecker), the psychiatrist responsible for institutionalizing her as a little girl, which stopped her from seeing her father, David (James Tupper). It seems the Grayson’s fingerprints are all over everyone that’s on Emily’s hit list; Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) offered Bank’s a private practice to keep Emily/Amanda away from her father.

‘Revenge’ Review: Betrayal

There’s something to be said when you take a look at Emily’s (Emily VanCamp) cool exterior; there’s one badass chick behind it all. VanCamp really excels in the role as she plays both the sweet and vengeful parts if the character. Watching her toe-to-toe with Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) and others is a pleasure to watch. Revenge is one of the few new shows that I genuinely look forward to watching each week.

‘Revenge’ Review: Trust

I have to admit that I’m enjoying watching Emily (Emily VanCamp) take down those that framed her father. After going after Lydia (Amber Valletta) first, Emily’s next target is Bill Harmon (Matthew Glave). He’s a financial advisor and so-called best friend of David (James Tupper). Turns out “Uncle Bill,” as a young Amanda used to call him, was also part of the conspiracy to frame David Clarke for the deadly terrorist attack.
