‘Revenge’ Review: Chaos

Now we’ve come full circle and ended up where the pilot started and boy has it been a fun ride. An episode full of shocks and surprises coupled with the usual amount of manipulation that comes from some of the characters. “Chaos” manages to live up to its episode title. Emily’s (Emily VanCamp) reaction at the end mirrored the way that I felt; what happened on the beach?

The fire and ice theme easily describes the character traits of some of the characters, especially in “Chaos.” A perfect example of fire sees the return of Tyler (Ashton Holmes). I had a feeling that we weren’t going to see the last of the character and in some way I hoped he would return. Holmes has been brilliant playing the role of the unstable man. It’s revealed that Tyler stole Emily’s box but what I wasn’t expecting was that he also kidnaps Fauxmanda (Margarita Levieva). Maybe it’s time I should just call her Amanda from now on.

‘Revenge’ Review: Duress

It seems like ages since ABC initially aired the promo of Tyler (Ashton Holmes) pointing a gun at everyone at Daniel’s (Joshua Bowman) birthday party. I was already excited with anticipation and the advance release of the first 9 minutes wet my appetite further. “Duress” doesn’t fail to disappoint and serves up an excellent episode with some outstanding performances.

‘Revenge’ Review: Loyalty

Emily – “One thing you can count on, I never forget”

Loyalty is name of this week’s episode and it is tested by many. Actions steer events to go certain ways and it sets up what’s to come in 2012. Yes you read that correct, we’re all gonna have to wait a little bit longer for the next episode.

Gabriel Mann and Emily VanCamp in Revenge

This week’s episode shows Emily (Emily VanCamp) having to adjust her game plan. As Tyler (Ashton Holmes) is proving to be more and more of an obstacle, she sets things in motion that leave others to do the work. Setting things up so it looks like Tyler is blackmailing Nolan (Gabriel Mann), while Tyler ends up blackmailing Conrad (Henry Czerny) to keep his job. Finding the sex tape of Tyler and Nolan really tests the boundaries of Emily’s friendship with Nolan. He’s hurt when he finds out how she’s involved the sex tape as part of her plan.
